OUR STORY
According to the American Heart Association, heart disease and strokes significantly contribute to death in the US, with heart disease being the leading cause. Unfortunately, ethnic and racial minorities, especially African-Americans, face even greater risks of developing these conditions. Acknowledging this issue is only the beginning; taking action to support others is crucial.
The Christ Saves Hearts Foundation, Inc. was founded in 2015 as a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our primary objective is to increase awareness about heart disease and share the love of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. We aim to advocate for and raise awareness of heart disease disparities among all racial and ethnic minorities and provide resources and support to those affected by heart disease through God's love, education, community outreach, and resources. This year, our goal is to raise over $50,000 to continue funding our advocacy, community outreach, and scholarships for high school and college students.
The Late Antonio Underdue, Sr., a beloved father, husband, and son, inspired the foundation's creation. His life was tragically cut short at the age of 35 due to sudden cardiac arrest caused by an enlarged heart, a condition that frequently affects young African-American men and student-athletes. In Antonio's memory, his family established the foundation to raise awareness of heart health issues, promote healthy lifestyles, and inspire hope and empower change through the foundation initiatives.
WE ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT SPREADING AWARENESS
