According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the number one killer of all Americans, and stroke is also a leading cause of death. As frightening as those statistics are the risks of getting those diseases are even higher for African-Americans and other racial/ethnic minorities. Having knowledge of this issue is only the first step, but taking action to help others is probably the most important step.
Christ Saves Hearts Foundation, Inc. is a recognized 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization that was founded in 2015 to create awareness for heart disease and spread the love of our loving God and Savior Jesus Christ. Our mission is to promote and advocate for the awareness of heart disparities among all racial and ethnic minorities, with the hope to inspire and empower all mankind that has been impacted by heart disease through the love of God, education, resources, and community outreach.
Christ Saves Hearts Foundation’s creation was inspired by the Late Antonio Underdue Sr, a loving father and husband, whose family seeks to honor his legacy through the advocacy and awareness of heart health issues in order to create healthier communities. The Christ Saves Heart family is also committed to honoring his legacy by providing programs, services, and scholarships to communities in need by engaging individuals, organizations, and stakeholders connected to improving heart health.
